It is time for Joburg Open and I am proud to say that one of my old golf partners, Joel Sjöholm, is teeing off today. I think he was 7 years old (and I was 12) when we played our first competition. Golf has always been his passion – he played before he could even read or write (I kept the scores). With his towel tucked in his back pocket, dragging along behind him, he was completely fearless. Never a single test swing. He just went up to the ball and hit it. Not always perfect but one thing was for sure, this boy had “It”. And now he is on the world stage.
Forza Toro – see you on friday!
